THE BABY SURI ALPACA BY C.T.F. SRL
Camelid family, originally from South America, includes numerous species that provide valuable hair. These precious hair, transformed into noble fibers, are used to create knitting yarns and give softness and value to the compositions.
Our new Fall-Winter 2022/2023 proposal, based on the research of a more refined product, is concentrated on the Baby Suri Alpaca, which represents the 10% of the Alpaca fiber production all over the World.
The Suri Alpaca, morphologically very similar to the Huacaya Alpaca, with his ears always pointed, a very long hair, that falls down the back and give the animal a longline look, has got more or less wavy hair, but the fiber is thick and very thin, glossy and uniform, with no crimp and a medium Micron value inbetween 20/21 (Micron).
The Baby Suri selection has got a much more softer handfeel compared to the traditional Alpaca and a very airy hair development, which gives volume and lightness to our yarns. In intimate blend with Vergin Wool it is so regular to be suitable for knitting and with a pleasant touch, with a deep colors intensity, who well interprets sophistication and femininity.
